Dickens of a Christmas -- and one more

In all of my years of living in Nashville, this is my first time to venture to Dickens of a Christmas in Franklin --  Loved the "junior" fiddler and the harpist was a wonderful delight.  My Bobbies got distracted as they had just caught a jail escaper.  Mike, I like your background better with the Bobbies.

On the way home stopped at the Natchez Bridge and did an in-camera HDR.

  1. Susan these are all great, but I have to say, the harpist is my favorite with the bobbies a close second. The composition on the harpist is perfect and I think the light background with the bobbies adds to the "vintage look". Those with already mastering the in-camera HDR, looks like we have an experienced Mark III user in the group.

  2. Attending Darrell Gulin's workshop at Durys helped get an understanding of the in-camera HDR with the Mark III. Will admit that I took a couple of test shots to check the histogram before activating the in-camera HDR. I think I'm gonna like in-camera a lot.

  3. Susan, I must admit I was totally 'uninspired' at the Dickens Festival and didn't shoot one shot. Can you believe? You, however, did great.

My favorite of this post is the bridge. Like you, the workshop at Dury's did help me get an idea of how to use the in-camera HDR. And...I must say, I'm really liking that feature. HDR that doesn't look AT ALL like HDR is a very good thing in my book!!!

Do you think we should keep our cameras? :)

  4. Sue, between the crowds, heat and lack of Dickens' characters it was pretty much a bust for me as well. I have ditched well over half of my photos from the day and still going back through them and deleting.

Oh, I guess we should keep our cameras. It would probably be way to hard to get it back correctly in it's box for shipping back - :o)
