Light Painting

I'm really looking forward to our outing on May 16th at the Renaissance Center.  Light Painiting is addictive.  Here are a couple of examples.  If we get a clear dark night tonight, I will be out "painting" my barn.

Finally, Sue came up with a recipe for making "Orbs" in photoshop.  Turns out, Light Painting can produce some cool orbs.

  1. Mike, these are really nice. Congrats on your image placing in Photo of the Month. I thought it should have won 1st place. Very nicely done.

  3. I did it, but with a recipe Sue found online. Give it a try, it is addictive:

    1. Open your image and keep only one layer
    2. Crop it to a square
    3. Go to filter, distort, polar coordinates, polar to rectangular
    4. Image, rotate, flip vertical
    5. Filter, distort, polar coordinates, rectangular to polar
